Branching decision game
Every choice rewrites what the next player must solve.
Decision Dominoes is a compact collaborative scenario for small groups. One player chooses a venue, the next inherits its budget consequence, and later players handle staffing, publicity, and the finale through a server-owned branching story.
Every choice rewrites what happens next.

How to play
Decision Dominoes in five steps.
- 1
Start Decision Dominoes with three to five players and read the opening scenario.
- 2
The first player makes a choice without knowing every downstream consequence.
- 3
Yakery reveals the result and gives the changed situation to the next decision maker.
- 4
The chain continues through budget, staffing, publicity, and finale decisions.
- 5
Reveal the path the team created and compare the tradeoffs at every branch.
Example round
The festival saved by one suspicious goose
A free riverside venue creates a goose problem. Birdseed sponsorship attracts more geese, a mascot video goes viral, and the team eventually lets the celebrity goose lead the closing parade.
Best for
Use it when the room needs…
- Small teams
- Decision-making workshops
- Leadership warmups
- Groups that enjoy branching stories
Facilitator tips
Keep the chain moving.
- Do not let later players blame earlier choices; adapting to inherited constraints is the point.
- Ask what information would have changed each decision after the reveal.
- Keep the room to five players so every person owns one branch.
Participation and accessibility
All choices are written and limited to a small set of clear options. The scenario is fictional, so participants can discuss tradeoffs without sharing personal experiences.
